About Me
A publishing professional with over thirteen years of experience, I'm currently editorial director of art, graphic, and popular culture at Ten Speed Press, a nonfiction imprint of Penguin Random House based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have acquired and edited numerous award-winning and bestselling books, including ten New York Times bestsellers, an NAACP Image Award-winner, and two Eisner Award winners.
I collaborate with authors and artists to create smart, visually compelling books on subjects such as art, culture, science, nature, history, lifestyle, self-improvement, and social justice, as well as graphic novels and photography books.
I have a keen eye for emerging talents and trends, and am a passionate champion of my authors and their books. Specializing in illustrated nonfiction and graphic novels, I’ve skillfully guided more than 100 authors through the publishing process.
